With a penchant for hosting, our clients wanted to reimagine their Edwardian home to embody an inherent sense of glamour while remaining warm, inviting, and organized. Classic marble, existing crown moulding, and window casings maintain the architectural foundation of the home and pay homage to its classic beauty, while the introduction of art-inspired wallpapers, dramatic light fixtures, and contemporary furnishings add a modern touch.
The formal living room creates a polished yet inviting space to host parties with friends. A plush mix of boucle textures, floor-length drapery, and rounded forms adds softness and warmth, while the artisanal coffee table brings together glass, brass, black oak, and rich rust tones to create a striking, reflective focal point.
Hosts of many dinner parties, our clients wanted the dining room to feel particularly special. The metallic sheen of the Calico wallpaper pairs with boucle and wool drapery for a tonal, textured mix. A geometric Gabriel Scott fixture, reminiscent of jewelry, adds smoky multicolored glass that feels delicate yet striking.
A spacious kitchen with two islands creates a comfortable space for cooking and hosting. Willem Racké Venetian Plaster walls add a fog-like texture reminiscent of San Francisco skies, while tonal painted trim highlights the existing crown moulding. A neutral ivory chaise adds a warm touch and creates a separate space for lounging and relaxing.
Working around an existing skylight, the primary bathroom was redesigned to maximize space, storage, and natural light. Calacatta Caldia marble wraps the walls, complemented by large-format rectangular floor tiles for a clean, modern feel. Warm wood cabinetry and brass hardware soften the palette, while open shelving provides functional storage and keeps towels within reach.
Rich wood tones and Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue walls give the office a refined, masculine feel.
