A smart, gabled, Edwardian with a clean modern interior that embraces the abstract, the colorful and the unexpected. Gridded wallpapers, floral textiles, modern art pieces, and colored glass stand out against the clean, modern interior architecture making this a jewel box of a home in the heart of San Francisco.

Recently updated, the home was a blank slate when we came to the project. We were able to upgrade selected fixtures, add new wall coverings, and source furniture and accessories throughout to create a contemporary, playful, dynamic space.
The existing spiral staircase leading to the Primary Bedroom on the second floor was painted a sunny yellow to make it a sculptural focal point and to complement the painting over the fireplace. To ground the bright colors, we incorporated a range of subtle textures and organic elements such as the travertine surface of the coffee table and the soft woven grey-blue rug.
Color continues throughout the Primary Bedroom where a drapery fabric hand-picked by the client became the design anchor for the room. The loft-style space offers panoramic views of San Francisco; floor to ceiling drapes provide an option to dial the natural light and bring a dose of playful pattern and color to the space.
