{remembering sf} | victorian flat

I have been doing a lot of photo updates and ran across some images I took of our old place in SF, which I LOVED. It's fun looking back at how your furniture is rearranged in different places, and how your place transforms due to life's changes. Toy filled baskets, kid library, cluster of unreachable frames, the joy of parenthood. :)

I've posted more photos in my portfolio section here. Of course, it was sad leaving behind the nursery, but it went to a good home of some soon to be parents. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

{la petite magazine} | rbd helps style a modern kids photo shoot!

I hope you all are recovering from the overabundance of sweets consumed yesterday. My body is still asking me why I ate so much chocolate carmel. :] Speaking of sweets, I have some SWEET news. I'm super excited to announce I'm in La Petite MagazineSarah Wert of Modern Kids Photography asked that I help out with the day of styling for her La Petite Magazine shoot. The shoot actually took place in one of my client's home, which turned out to be a perfect setting.

Theme: feathers, tepees, and Indians, which happens to be the hottest trend right now. I loved the feather crowns, rustic yet playful. Sarah's images are featured on pages 59-70 of the magazine, and for all you DIYers out there, check out the headband tutorial from curlybirds.

Loving the grass headpiece? The straw head piece was made by yours truly. Hehe :] I'm sure the beautiful little girl had something to do with how well it turned out. Thanks Sarah for letting me be a part of such a fun day! You can check out more amazing photos on Sarah's blog; and if I haven't said it enough already, isn't Sarah AMAZING!?

Hope your week is off to a fantastic start!

{Holiday Parties} | now with kids

This month we are crazy busy with holiday parties, dinners, and birthday parties. Now with kids, getting to the party is a much harder endeavor. Shopping trips are limited to the neighborhood 24th Street (the girls know me by name at Ambiance), online (this option is usually out since I have waited until the last minute) and my closet. We don't have time to go anywhere else since we try to take advantage of the sitters on the day of the event. As you can imagine, cramming shopping, freshening up, dinner and taking care of two 15 month year olds, who might I add are into everything, lends itself to a very fun pre-party happy hour. Is it worth it, Jace and I ask ourselves? You betcha, especially if there is a photo booth involved!

Here's some funny photobooth images of our night out at Google's Holiday party last week. Such dorks, I know. I was so stoked to see there was a photo booth, and bonus AWESOME props. I absolutely LOVE photo booths. If Jace and I were to get married all over again, we would have a photo booth rather than a cake.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

P.S. My friend's nursery pics are coming soon...stay tuned!
