{reveal progress} toddler to big girl room | modern ethnic

The past week I've been working on the design of a bedroom for a 2.5 year old little girl. Nyara, a darling South Asian little girl is growing up, but more importantly, she has a new baby brother. Nyara's parents asked that I help create a big girl room to help with the transition of becoming a big sister. Such a great idea, huh? I spent yesterday morning helping the family (mom, mom-in-law, and aunt) implement the first phase of the design! The Anthropologie swing was the first item installed, and my favorite item in the room.

I was offered a delicious lunch and partook in my first Indian coffee made from chutney. Delicious! This was my first reveal, and I'm not going to lie, I could definitely get used to this kinda thing. Such a fun and exciting experience. I LOVE that design excites people...makes me happy!! It was so much fun to be a part of the reveal.

The next and final phase will be purchasing the items shown in the concept board below. I can't wait to see how it all comes together. Check back here for more progress pictures and final photos!
